So many sleepless nights in the computer lab gave me my final Maya project for the quarter.
Rendering became a problem towards the end because of the flowers in the flower pot. I started with one flower, and had to figure out how to multiply them into a single bunch. Copy and paste was the first instinctive option, but it didn't mesh well. Then I tried pasting a few flowers into a small bunch, then using Mirror Geometry, which worked much better.
Unfortunately, Maya didn't agree with the geometry, and kept crashing every time I tried to render in mental ray (one of the requirements for hand-in). I ultimately handed-in a version without the flower bunch, which sucked because they were a crucial part of the composition. But I did take the time to use some PhotoShop magic so you can see what was intended.
